MOJO253 - Sympathy

I apologize for not posting much these past few days...back to work a week and I landed on the weekend duty roister.  Not complaining...I did have a full year Army Duty Free.

I decided to do a sympathy card this go around.  Now I'm not an overly sympathetic person and haven't done much in the way of sympathy cards since they seem to have a feminine quality, that frankly, I lack. Maybe its that Army influence...Maybe its the way I enjoy clean lines and bright colours more so than swirls and bows.  Anyhoo ...  Here is what I came up with.

Overall I like it.  I'm not in LOVE with it...but, I like it.

MOJO252 - Christmas

Sorry about not posting on the weekend....I was incredibly busy.  I am due back to work after my year of Maternity Leave and spent the entire weekend on food prep...daycare bags prepped x'3...army uniform located and prepped...yea....No time for creating .  Wahhhhhhhhh!!!!!!

Today I decided I'd had enough of running around like a headless chicken.  It was time for some much needed stress relief.  STAMPING!!!!!

I know I know...everything I post is Christmassy.  In my defence, I have a few more days of July to squeeze out my "Christmas in July" Cards...I'm squeezing for all I'm worth.

VLVJUL12 - Week #3....

Ok...so I'm approaching this challenge ass backwards by doing the last week's layout before the other two...that's what you get for only half reading the rules.  I read that in order to participate in the Verve Monthly Challenge you just submitted one card of any of the layouts of your choice.  Upon closer inspection....(after hauling my head out of my ass and paying attention to detail..) I noticed the rules actually stated that 1 card must be submitted per layout.  Yeah...exactly...I have soooooo much work to do if my sorry butt will be making the deadline of August 2nd....Jeepers!!!

Well...on the upside...I now only have four out of the five layouts left!!!!

Here's my version of Week #3...

I adore the Champagne Glitter paper...It makes everything look classy.

So now it's off to continue creating for the rest of the challenge...Murphy!!!

Birthday Matchbox...

Ohhhhhh I'm a little late in posting tonight....

I decided it was time for a little 3D...and in keeping with the Birthday "all in one" matching of the packaging that I so love to do...I made a  Matchbox gift card holder to go with the MOJO251 birthday card in my previous posts.

I love to match the birthday card, to the gift card holder, to the gift bag, to the Birthday Banner, Cupcake Toppers etc etc etc...Maybe its OCD...Maybe its creativity.  Not really sure!

And just so you can see how perfect this is for any gift card, let's have a look see at the inside...

Ahhhhhh yes, the Tim Card....No self respecting Canadian will be caught without one.  The perfect gift for any occasion or non occasion.

And on that note...it's time to call it a night.

MOJO251 revisited...

Well...I've just been on a creative spree....

I loved the MOJO251 Birthday Card I created so, I decided to try a Christmas theme.  The glorious UPS guy paid me a visit yesterday and blessed me with a new bunch of Stamps.  Yipee!!!!

I loved the "Heart of Christmas" Stamp and couldn't wait to try it out.

Here is what I came up with....

Doesn't this just rock your socks??? The New* Lacy Brocade embossing folder is gorgeous...makes everything come together if you ask me.

Ahhhhh Christmas in July...all the fun minus the suckage....

VLVFEB2012...The Verve Challenge....

You know when you hit on a really great card layout and it kind of sticks with you.  You find yourself trying the layout over and over again with various DSP, Embellishments, and ribbon and somehow they always turn out perfect?  Well VLVFEB2012 was that particular layout for me...Maybe because I'm SUCH a layers person and this card layout has plenty of that.

I've done this layout over and over and it never seems to disappoint.  Love it!!!!
This particular card was done with Non SU product.  I just loved the DSP that did however co-ordinate stunningly with SU's card stock.

MOJO251

....And here we go....off to the races with another MOJO MONDAY special....

This time I decided to use the Chock-Full of Cheer Stamp set from SU with coordinating DSP called Be of Good Cheer.  I am soooooooo into the whole "Christmas In July" theme.  It doesn't hurt that i'll be going back to my Army Career after my year of Parental Leave....so these things (Christmas Cards etc...) must get done with a sense of urgency!!!

Birthday Wishes...

Did the Cutest Masculine Birthday card today...(can you say cute and masculine in the same sentence?) Anyway, I made it as a masculine card but, it has such versatility ...I can picture this baby as a christmas card, a feminine  birthday card, a halloween card....etc.....

If I were to make this a Christmas Card...( and I just might since there is an impending visit from the UPS guy this week...) I would probably place a teeny tiny tag on the first bag saying "For You" or "Merry"...yep....I think I would.

Ahhhhhh the Ups Guy...can't you just hear the choir of angels in the background.  I wonder if he has his own theme music?

I have been a Follower of the MOJO MONDAY Blog for awhile now....today is THE DAY that I finally post something on it...yep...here I am pulling up my "Big Girl Panties" and putting myself out there...

Here is my version of the MOJO250 and I'm so darn pleased with it that I think I shall be using it as my Daughter Kyra's 1st Birthday invitation...(yes...another one...1 short week after Cheyenne)!

Christmas Deer....

Alright...I had the best of crafty intentions however, last night I succumbed to "The Avengers" movie.  What can I say...it was AWESOME!

I made up for it today though...Got out the "Christmas Deer" Stamp set from SU! and put that sucker to good use.  I love love love it in Champagne Glitter!!!  I thought I was Madly in love with the "Dasher" stamp of yesteryear but that was until I saw this handsome creature...and the ability to have ornaments hanging from the antlers...GENIUS!

Birthday Invites...

So...the birthday invitations for my Daughter's 5th Birthday are finished!  Finally!!  After much deliberation ... I decided that "No, They weren't too busy" and "Yes, They were girly enough" and declared them done.  ( I tend to argue with myself a lot during the creative process...)

I do so love decorating for parties of all occasions.  I love showcasing new ideas, and adding more and more to each successive party package.  I have til August 18th ( the day of her party ) to go creatively wild.

Having a "Happy Christmas"....

Well Welcome to my creative corner of the artistic world...I am an avid stamper with very little time to physically get together with other like minded individuals.  However, I feel the need to share my creations and to be "shared" with.  I'm hoping this blog accomplishes both!

The above card was created as a swap card this past week.  It was my first creation out of the new Stampin' Up! Holiday Mini!!!!  Love everything in that catalogue!!!  Ohhhhhh if money grew on trees....
